November Movie Fun

November was a bit busy around here and so we only had 2 movies madness times. One was actually just a date for Cory & I, we watched #42, the Jackie Robinson Movie and ate only food you find at a ball park.
The kiddos started a new tradition, the day before Thanksgiving they celebrated Thanksgiving Charley Brown style with toast, popcorn, pretzels, & candy. We didn't actually have jelly beans left so we substituted in old conversation hearts.
There aren't many movies, that celebrate Thanksgiving so we were a bit hard up for festive ideas, but just wait next month hopefully we will be loaded with fun movie madness ideas!

October Movie Fun

For October we had a TON O FUN with Movie madness. It helped that Phoebe was off track so we had lots of time, like summer, to do it!

We started off the month with mummy dogs, ghostly string cheese and Hotel Transylvania.

We did sneak in one non Halloween movie day, The Croods and caveman popcorn, I had never popped corn off a cob before but it was cool , it popped beautifully just like it did in The Croods.

Getting back to the Halloween movie themed fun we enjoyed a day of  jellied brains and the Corpses bride.

We made fun witches fingers and watched Hocus Pocus, they were DELICIOUS!
For the movie day I was most excited about we made some fun gingerDEAD men and watched the Nightmare before Christmas.
On the last day of our movie madness we made our own "great Pumpkins" out of rice krispes and watched Charlie Brown's The Great Pumpkin.
I had a lot of fun with Halloween and the movie days and think the kiddos did too.

September Fergy Movie Fun

We haven't done regular movie madness themes since school started but I have snuk in a couple. On one Monday we watched James and the Giant Peach and the most delicious fresh peaches and cream! Phoebe loved it so much she had 4 bowls of it!
On one night we pulled out the kiddos beach towel and watched Teen Beach Movie. I wanted to serves otter pops, but daddy who was in charge that evening want feeling brave enough so instead they just enjoyed the beach movie on beach towels.
I have some fun Movie madness days planned for October so here's to hoping we get to some of them!

August Fergy Summer Fun

We started out August with more of our fun Movie Madness Mondays. We watched Winnie the Pooh and Made Peanut butter Honey Buddies, DELISH! Sophie played the part of Pooh Bear perfectly trying to eat her way though the honey cap to get to the good stuff and getting sticky all over her arm in the process.
The next week we watched the Polar Express and made Frozen Hot Chocolate, this is addictively good, I made some more the next day! I meant to have this for Christmas in July, but we were a month late, oh well.
In the middle of the month we actually did what's fun Wednesday and make some glitter slime, it didn't turn out perfectly, but the kids had fun with it anyway. Don't ask why Josh was a pirate lion, it was dress-up day I guess. Also on a side note, Josh figured out how to cross his eyes (or eye in his case) so it is not hard to get a pic of him not doing it now.
We finished off the month of August with the Movie Surf's up and cracked a coconut and enjoyed some squid on a stick, a popular delicacy in the movie. For this week we also had a neighbor friend, Megan, join us.
We'll see if we are able to keep up any of the fun days during some of the 1/2 school days ahead. If not luckily every 9 weeks Phoebe is off for 3 wks for more Monday movie madness fun!
