Fergy Family Memorial Day Fun

For the past 3 years we have spent Memorial Day at Cory's sister Amber & Alan's home. We always have a ton-o-fun while the kids discover all the great toys their cousins & the adults relax. To top it all off, the weather was even perfect this year which is a first for us, usually it's either cold, rainy or both.

It wouldn't be a trip to the Madsens if our kiddos didn't get to see their fun chickens. This was Sophie's first encounter with a live one of these and she was pretty calm about the whole thing and even pet it. Josh, however, chose to show his admiration to the chickens with a kiss.
I look forward to his fun BBQ every year & this year especially was a really great end to our holiday weekend.

Phoebe's Preschool Graduation 2012

In the end of May Phoebe "graduated" from preschool. Rally it was more of a program of songs and a congrats certificate, since she still has one more year of preschool before she starts kindergarten. Phoebe was really into singing his time more than her programs in the past.
Phoebe was so proud of her certificate she got & was thrilled to give her favorite teacher Mrs. Thomson (or Thompson Monson as she calls her, she get her named confused with the Prophets) her teacher appreciation gift we got, which was a big box of strawberries and a tag that said we couldn't have "picked" a better teacher.
After wards we took some little pics with our graduate and she got some fun little gifts from various family members.
Grandma Fergy came to the program and gave Phoebs some princess balloons and a cute decorate yourself wooden mirror. Grandma/pa Potts sent $5 to get a treat from the ice cream truck, which she is really excited to do & we gave her a purple dress up dress. I would say our mini grad made out pretty well and is SUPER excited to start the 4 yr old preschool class in the fall!

Blue bunny Ice-Cream & Swimsuits

In the middle of May I was chosen again to Host a House Party. This time it was for Blue Bunny Sweet Freedoms Ice cream. This party was the easiest to date all I had to d was go pick out my free ice cream then we set up a table at the park and dished it out. I was pleasantly surprised on the awesomeness of the low fat ice cream especially the caramel vanilla swirl... HEAVEN! All the kids loved running around at the playground with each other while eating ice cream & the parents enjoyed relaxing on the perfect evening chatting it up. In all, I had 42 people attend, my biggest house party to date, and we sill had tons of ice cream left at the end of the night.
This spring had been an abnormally warm one, setting several record highs, so to battle the heat we have pulled out the water pad early and enjoyed several refreshing toe dips. This is Sophie's first experience in a swimsuit & with sprinklers, so far she is more adventures to explore it than any of my other babies did their first year.
