June's Daddy Dates

Here are Daddy's Dates in the month of June:

Phoebe
Phoebe’s always loved reading books, so this month we went out to the new West Jordan Library (and Daddy wanted to see it the new building, so it was a good excuse). Phoebe ran from shelf to shelf picking up books she wanted to read. We tested out reading on benches, on caterpillar seats, at tables, EVERYWHERE you could think to sit and read a book. In the end, she even got to pick out 2 special books to borrow from the library and take home.
I just added this pic of Cami because while Phoebe was on her date with daddy Cami found her potty's box and made a cozy home in it & I thought it was way cute.
Cami
I just saw that they were having a farmer’s market event at Gardner Village, so Cami and Daddy jumped in the car to go see. As always, Cami loved running circles around the place, across the bridges, over the walls, etc – all the while screaming HELLO to the ducks and fishes.
She found a flowering bush filled with bumble bees and insisted that we BOTH sing the Bubble Bee song with all the actions – ya, right there in front of everyone walking by (much to Daddy’s dismay).

When we were heading back to the car, Cami ran the full length of one of the stone walls (while holding Daddy’s hand) and suddenly stopped, took a step back, and crouched down to see a single ant crawling around on the wall – I don’t know how she saw it while dashing along like she was. She was memorized by it. When the ant crawled over the side of the wall and down on the underside of one of the stones, Cami just crouched down and leaned out and watched to make sure it got down safely.

Josh
When Joshie's turn came, he chose the aquarium. Daddy and he got there right when it opened, and had most of the place to themselves for a good part of the morning. Josh loved the shark tank and of course sitting on the frog. Probably the best part of all was that he could run (in no discernible order) to any exhibit he wanted and climb right up to see it. While still only is using a handful of words, but FISH is definitely part of that vocabulary - and he made sure to point them out in case you missed them.
