Luck-O-The Fergys

We were a bit worried that our tricky leprechaun wouldn't know that we were temporarily in Oregon, but Phoebe notified her birds to take the message to the leprechaun of our move. I didn't know she has such messenger birds, but she told me she has messenger birds for all the holidays, lucky us we will never be forgotten! Lucky Phoebe's bird must have come through because we had our trixty leprechaun come to our house, we had to search everywhere for our treats and we found then hidden in our oven...crazy leprechaun!
Our leprechaun turned our milk green, which Phoebe commented about, "It's green, but it still tastes like milk...WHAT?!?!" I guess surprised her.
We Skyped with daddy later in the and he told us that the little leprechaun even brought him a treat at Davy's house. Those Utah leprechauns aren't so cheap they bring the real Lucky Charms instead of the poor leprechaun imitation Lucky Charms.
After our ever so yummy Marshmallow Matey's Lucky Charms we got dressed up in the cute new green outfits grandma spoiled us with, she didn't want us to get pinched at church.
Dinner brought the traditional corned beef and cabbage, a classic and also a daddy favorite, which he unfortunately missed out on this year. We bought extra corned beef so come mid April we will be having a second St. Patty's day dinner with daddy when we are all back as a family together again!

When in Oregon do as the Oregonians

We have now been in Oregon for 6 1/2 wks and have found lots of fun little things to occupy our time.

We had a birthday party for Aunt Lucy and she brought us this GINORMOUS cookie which was one of the best cookies I have ever had!
We have had lots of lunches and snacks out on the porch watching movies on the little TV. We have watched the deer come by in grandpa's pasture, which is why phoebe absolutely swears her grandpa is Santa Clause...he has reindeer!
We have managed to find a nice day to go to the park for picnics. Which was awesome, because it was a less popular park by the elementary I went to and we had the whole place to ourselves!
We have had many Fridays where we indulge in pizza, movies, & popcorn. Usually Sophie doesn't have the stamina for a movie so she wanders around the house seeing what items of her big sisters she can get into and dress up in while they are distracted. I call this look the girly hobo. Cami and Phoebe have spent many hours with grandma applying make up. Many days they come out looking like short street walkers and grandma is qick to point out she didn't have anything to do with it. Miss Sophie is usually pretty jealous we don't let her participate so one one occasion she showed us by finding a blue highlighter and doing her own makeup.
We have played beauty parlor with lots of new hair dos  including Phoebe in hair curlers. I absolutely LOVE the pic of her reading her book on the porch while watching lady & the tramp on the TV in her curlers. I feel like she only needs a moo moo and bon-bons to finish the look. the curls came out pretty cute and definitely added volume to her other wise flattish due, however, after only one hour all the curl came out and it was pretty dreadful looking.
We still have another 3 1/2 more week in Oregon so ya'll can be sure we will find more fun things to to a we play the part of Oregonians!

Cami's Mommy Date

After several weeks I finally found a night to take Cami out on her special Oregon date, she wasn't such a fan of story time at the library last time we went so I had to come up with a new activity and since I needed to go shopping Cami was eager to make our date shopping for Easter dresses followed by cake. Cami was a pretty good girl in the mall she let me shop around and even try stuff on her with almost no fuss which is big for her, she is anti shopping girl. On a side note I am  pretty sure her daddy has brain washed her because on 2 different occasions when I tried on a bracelet and when I tried to get her to try on shoes she told me, "Put 'em back Mom we aren't getting it." I could have sworn Cory momentarily magically appeared from all the way from Utah. After getting the the dresses Cami was pretty excited to go and get cake and pop!
Cami picked out a cupcake and then only ate the frosting with a spoon and left teh cake part alone. We split an Italian soda which meant I got a sip and Cami commandeered the rest. At this point she was REALLY wound up on a sugar high! she kept taking a sip of the pop and then jumping in a circle in frint of the table. It didn't help that it was about 1 1/2 hrs afer her normal bed time.
The people at the tables next to up were giggling at all of Cami's excessive energy; in fact, the Mom across from us said now that is what an old fashioned kid sugar high looks like! Cami finished her cake date with my chocolate frosting from the most delicious Mounds cake EVER, then we headed home. Growing up mom mom had a rule whomever the clothes were for had to carry the bags so here is Cami with all her & her siblings clothing loot. Cami could barely even hold it all for the picture, it was too "Heab(v)y."
It took us another 30-40 mins after we got home for her to calm down enough to go to bed, so we snuggled and watched a show together. I next to never get time alone to do something fun with Cami, something I hope we can change when she gets a bit older and a little less wild, because this was a fun little date with her.
