Phoebe's 1st Field Trip

At the end of this year Phoebe was able to have her firs ever field trip. I went with her class as did most of the other parents so we only walked around with our own kids. A neighbor of mine combined with me so our ratio was 2 parents and 3 kids, my kind of numbers. On our field trip we visited Wheeler Farm someplace Phoebe has been to many time before but always loves. We first started with lunch and then, went to feed the ducks. After that we all split up to visit the rest of the animals see the other sites.
We had lots of time at the end so Phoebe really enjoyed playing in the fun tree play house.
Phoebe must have wanted one last self photo with her and her name tag, because I found this random picture on the camera.

We really had a fun time on her field trip & I am really excited to go on many more field trips that Phoebe will get to have next year in the 4yr old preschool class.

Misc. May Fergy Sightings

The end of May this year has brought us a roller coaster of weather, everything from mid 50s to low 90s, so we have done LOTS of different activities. I have finished some spring cleaning , which is not picured but instead here are the pics Cami obviously got when she stole my camera out of my purse while I was cleaning and took random adorable pictures of Sophie.
We have had lots of dress-up time during rainy days. I think we may need to put some boy appropriate dress-ups in out bin, even though he was sure proud of the outfit he chose his daddy was not.
On one of eh hotter days we made a tent in the back yard out of a sheet ducktape and dowels, which the kids LOVED!  Phoebe found it especially funny when bird later came and landed on her "roof" while she was reading her book inside of it.
Thanks to Pinterest I have found TONS-O-FUN ideas for our family and my cub scouts to do this summer.   One such idea was homemade Kool-aid Slurpee...it was delicious & we will be making these MANY MANY more times! We have also made many refreshing smoothies too and Cami is always hilarious when she drinks hers because she gets the biggest milk-stash I have ever seen!
When the weather cools down we tend to lounge in our PJs and watch movies together, however, it is unfortunately the case lately that whenever I do try and do ANYTHING else out of Cami sight, I usually end up regretting it, such as was the case when Cami wanted to give Sophie a few more raisins. Or when I was making pancakes and I had to run-upstairs to get a crying Sophie, Cami decided to carry on with the pancake making without me. (Side Note: I did make her eat part of that pancake she made, I would have made her eat all of it, but later that morning she got a hold of the Salt & Pepper shakers and dumped the entirety of their contents over the remaining pancakes :( )
This Summer I am TRYING to be a less lazy parent and get out to do fun stuff with the kiddos so let's hope I keep up my zeal to make this the Fergy 2012 Non-Bummer Summer whatever the weather!

Mama's Day 2012

Mother's Day is always pretty exciting around here, a couple years ago we changed our celebration from Sunday to Saturday and it has been for the best, Sunday just didn't ever quiet workout for our family for various kiddo reasons! Anyway, this year Cory and I had to make a last minute choice to not buy anything this year which meant last minute brainstorming for Cory, so on the Friday night before he and Josh went to his office to put various Mother's Day plans together.  I was told Josh LOVED it at daddy's office, he ran around and caught everyone up on some paperwork.
On Saturday morning the family started in on all the fun mom's day celebrations, first Cory made crepes for breakfast, one of my FAVORITES! Then they all went out back to plant the flowers I bought the week before so I didn't have to. I loved just sitting and watching kiddos and taking cute pics while not having to plant my flowers since it isn't my favorite activity.
Afterwards Cory and the kiddos surprised me by having Grandma come babysit so Cory and I could have a long afternoon's date down at the new city creek mall, which I hadn't been to yet.
Unfortunately I forgot the camera and Cory's phone was about to dye so we didn't get a good pic of us here or eating our lunch. I absolutely LOVED this date, but we were kinds naughty on the no spending money rule and get got a new shirt for me and Cory let me pick out several new things for him and Joshie... what can I say I am more passionate about fashion than my CFO budgets.
When we finally got home we loaded up the kiddos right away and headed down to Sweet Tooth Fairy to get my free Mother's Day Cupcake and try their now limited time only Creme Brule cupcake, it was AWESOME! We then stopped and Cory let me pick out a movie for us to watch later that evening. After putting the kiddos to bed we even rearranged the couch to make the movie more fun to watch, like a theater and had the last of our goodies. This was a G-O-O-D Mother's Day!
On actual Mother's Day we got up early and went to church where, Sophie sported her first ever pigtails, she is so stinkin' cute!
After Church the day went a bit down hill first of all the kids got into my mother's day treat from church and ate them all :( then that tantrums were never ending so ALL (including me) went to nap time. After naps we had dinner and went to Grandma Fergy's to deliver her Mother's day gift which was fresh Strawberries and Shortcake. YUMM.  We also got to test out Sophie's new swing for the first time. Cami was quick to have a swing FAIL (don't worry she was fine, she never fell out just hung upside down & we aren't sure how she did it). SIDE NOTE ON THIS EVENT: I wrote a review on this swing stating that my child  who was well in the weight limits flipped over the swing. The next week I had Fisher Price call me from NY asking me about the incident and if my child was okay or sustained any injury they need to take care of and also that they will report this incident to the proper departments. Also they will fully reimburse me he money for the swing if I wanted, but I actually told them we just laughed about it and I would like to keep the swing.
After the swing fiasco Cami was done with the play area and so she sneaked into my purse, got my lip-gloss and  applied it generously to her face and dress. Yep, that shirt is permanently out of commission. It never is one big reason that we don't celebrate Mother's day on Sunday, but a ton of little kiddo reasons that we have officially moved the holiday, it's like they sense Mother's Day on Sunday and fall apart.
This Mother's Day Saturday turned out to be one of the most relaxing ones to date and every year I think it will be a hard one to beat but I guess Cory is just that good and he always figured out a way to make my day perfect!
