We always start the first Monday n November with having a lesson on gratitude and then make our annual Thankful Turkey. Even though we have good intentions to use it every year it usually becomes more of a decoration than a useful gratitude jar. This kids really love it, however, so we continue to make it every November.
This year all the kiddos were old enough to participate to it was even more fun and chaotic to make.
This year we fit our hand feathers on a pickle jar, but Our cute little turkey's hands are continuing to grow and I fear one year we may have to use a small drum to fit all the not so little turkey "finger" feathers.
