Luck O' the Fergusons

This year for St. Patty's Day the little leprechauns brought us a couple family fun gifts!
To find the stash, however the kiddos had to follow the trail of golden coins, which some of my kids though they were too cool to do, so they sat back and watched others do the work for them.
The kids all were excited to find the leprechauns left them a musical rainbow coloring pad, a colorful Udraw pad for our Xbox and "Lucky Charms".
Every year the leprechauns play a few tricks on our morning breakfast which thoroughly upset Phoebe. This year they turned her milk & my eggs green in our breakfasts.
After breakfast we all played with our new toys, the kiddos LOVE the Udraw pad for the Xbox they sit there forever (well forever for our kids) and take turns drawing and coloring on the TV.
Grandma & pa Potts sent all of our little leprechauns something green to wear for the big day so after they were all dresses up we had a mini photo shoot. (I know Cami's outfit is mainly pink, but it has a green shirt with it.)
For dinner I got to use my cute green and yellow dishes for only the 2nd time, I thought it made for cute St. Patty's Day decor to our yummy Irish meal of homemade soda bread, corned beef, cabbage, carrots, turnips, potatoes.(Cory really wanted to try turnips this year since they seemed Irish to him.)
Cory's mom and brother were able to join us for our feast, which always makes it more fun; plus this was the first time Cory's mom had a homemade Corned beef Irish meal. I hope it was all she expected, because we sure loved it all!
After dinner our guests had to go so we played a little more on the Udraw pad and then put all our greens to bed. Some of them, however, refused to sleep and instead did naughties such as learn to pull and stand our selves up in our crib for the first time.
I know we tend to celebrate St. Patty's more here then many others do, but it is a pretty fun holiday and we always enjoy any excuse to party hardy around here!

A Fergy Family Favorite

As March has rolled in we have been really blessed with warmer weather which brings the Fergusons out to play. We LOVE to go on walks around the neighborhood & can be seen nightly taking 2-3 laps around the complex with our 2 double strollers. The kids love having a sucker and enjoying the sights. Usually when we are done they dread going in to so we stay outback and play.  This was one of the first warmer days so it was probably only high 50s, but since then we have enjoyed weather right into the 70s!

B-Ballin' it Around with Buddies

In the beginning of March to celebrate March Madness Grandma Fergy threw all the grand-kiddos a B-Ball Party. All the food you can see is basketball themed with color and/or roundness. All the kids LOVED it all, especially he cheese balls and candy!
After lunch we all headed out to play several basket ball types of games. Slam dunk practice, relay warm ups, and free throw tosses with basketball bean bags to name just the first few.
Some of my kids got quickly distracted and began to do their own game playing, & others got very cranky seeing as it was nap time.  Note the next several pics Sophie is thoroughly unhappy with with the party, even Phoebs tried to calm her down with a quick kiss on her head.
In spite of a cranky Sophie, the games were just starting, we then played hide the basketball. If you note everyone is suppose to have covered eyes, Cami did well but Mr. Josh is just plan cheating.
After about one or 2 rounds of hat game 3 out of 5 of the 2yr olds found another way to party on...dancing on grandmas grate over the fire pit.
After all the games each of the kiddos was awarded a medal that said winner on it. Some more than others were thrilled with this prize.
Grandma then also put together a fun basketball themed gift bag or each of the kiddos as a prize to take home.
Afterwards we packed in a little more playtime with the cousins before it was time to pack up and head home.
Despite Sophie's view on the party the rest of us had a lot of fun at the March Madness Basketball Bash!
