In the very end of Feb and beginning of March Grandma & Pa Potts and came surprised the kiddos with a couple day visit. The weather was not grand unfortunately, but we still managed to make it out for our traditional Golden Corral dinner, the kiddos favorite!!!
The Day my parents chose to travel home the heavens let loose the snow. It was really only the second time that winter it snowed hard to the kiddos, especially Josh ran out and had tons of fun playing in it!
The charity I volunteer for, Helping Kids with Cancer, sometimes gets to participate in special activities such as meeting Miss Teen Utah, Cake decorating with local new crews & meeting Micky and Minnie. I really thought the kiddos would freak out with excitement to meet Micky and Minnie but they didn't seem that interested they just wanted the cake that was being handed out.
In the end of Feb we found out the results of Phoebe's 5 hour blood tests were positive for growth hormone deficiency. They chemicals in her brain supposed to be a minimum of a 10 and she only ever got as high as a 7 then read as low as .33. The next step was to get an MRI done to rule out a growth in her brain being the cause of the deficiency. Once again Cory took the day and went with Phoebe to do her testing while I stayed with the other kiddos. Phoebe was doing pretty great until it came time for the needle, she had the saddest little face.
I came by the hospital right as Phoebe was waking back up to bring Cory some new clothes since Phoebe peed on him as she was put to sleep. On the way our we took a pic of her by the cute Lorax tree, she was really still drugged at this point and couldn't stand by herself very well. We even ran to Costco with her like that and we had to strap her down do she didn't get woozy and fall out of the cart. Later that afternoon Grandma Fergy came by and gave Phoebe as cute little prize for being brave.
In the middle of March the weather really warned up and the kiddos were able to wear shorts and play outside without coats, they were LOVING it!.
We had some pretty amazing sunrises in March. This pic doesn't even do justice, it was so pink that when we raised our garage door up it lit the whole garage a brilliant pink hue.
This year we celebrated national Pi day with a French Silk pie, a first for me but it was pretty good, a bit too sweet for me though.
Random Pics of March, Sophie falling in the blocks bucket at Grandma Fergys and Cami's short new sassy hair cute & style, she loves it and since then we have even cut it a bit shorter on the sides.
This year the sneaky Leprechaun brought lots of green goodies for our kiddos! They get a kick out of the milk being dyed green for the cereal. We had our large traditional corned beef and cabbage for dinner , one of Cory's most favorite meals of the whole year!
In March one of the local mall had a special Lego exhibit white had replicas of many of Americas hospital sites. These were really amazing to see and I can't believe how long it took to assembly many of the pieces, most took ab 500- 1000 hrs
Spring means baby chicks at the farm store, a favorite time of year for my kiddos. it's like a free zoo trip for them!
In the middle of March Cory left has job of the last 10yrs at PGAW, which was excite and nerve racking all at once. He joined up with 4 other architects leaving PGAW to make their own architecture firm, GouldPlus Architects.
Spring time ago reached havoc in our grass and weeds came in by the dozen in our grass, I said we were fighting the great dandelion apocalypse. I ended up paying the kiddos a 1 penny a dandelion head they picked and brought me.
This was the first time I ever saw Sophie write her name and she did pretty darn well!
Our church in the end of March held it's annual Easter eggs hunt and breakfast. The kiddos had a blast as always and made crafts and did face painting, most of the girls thought it was funny to get mustaches.
After the Egg hunt we went home where Cory and I got to working on some yard work and everywhere I turned the twins where right in the way so I finally yelled at them to get out of our way so we could work. They next thing I knew I came around with the shovel to load the wheelbarrow and they were sitting right in it,that's it TWINS FOR SALE!
We really enjoyed the awesome weather that came with spring time and got a lot of great cool weather time to work on our backyard which is starting to look awesome!
