Our Fergy Debut

Yesterday was our first time back a church as a whole family in 4 mos. It had been so long since Phoebe was in nursery that she was a bit nervous as I left her. As for me, I was excited to get to dress the wee ones up in their church attire and finally get back in our normal Sunday routine. Josh was hesitant to go as you can see by his screaming pics, but once in his car seat he feel asleep and was out for the entirety of church. Cami was awake for the first 1/2 of church and then joined her brother in peaceful bliss for the second 1/2 of church. Besides trying to walk the halls with more things than I can actually hold (a purse, coat, carseat, diaper bag and a baby who didn't want to be set down), yesterday turned out to be an easy transition back in to our regular Sundays.

1 Month Already

How time flys! As of Nov 22nd, the Fergy twins turned one month old.

Thanksgiving With The Fergy's

As is the norm for the Fergy Five, we spent the blessed food fest with the extended Fergy clan. We started celebrating the day by having Cami wake us up screaming hysterically at 5:45am. We ran into her room to discover her crying her first tears, so sad. After calming her down we had hoped to go back to sleep, but Phoebs then began screaming, "Mommy, Daddy," which she does every morning to let us know she is awake and would like to come out of her room. We then all went downstairs and as a holiday treat had Sister Rhoad's bake and serve caramel rolls. After that it was a blur of baking yams & pistachio salad while Cory played with Phoebs and bathed all 3 wee ones. We had planned on arriving at Grandma Fergy's around 10-11am, but finally at a bit past 12pm we arrived. Once there we waited for the finishing touches on the heavenly smelling meal and took some pics. Below are the twins next to the turkey, which out weight both of them combined, but wait that is not it...
We then added cousin Afton into the mix and yet the turkey still weighed more than all 3 of the wee ones COMBINED. The turkey weighed 25 lbs and the wee ones all together weighed no more than 24 lbs.
Here is our big eater stuffing herself. The first pic is all of the food placed on her plate. The second picture is when she finished eating. Yep that's right, NOTHING was touched. In fact the two pics are less than 5 minutes apart. All Phoebs did for dinner was dip a cracker into the green salad and then run off. The second picture wasn't even the 1st time in that 5 minutes that she left the table. The first time was during Dennis' prayer. She was sitting so reverently, but when the prayer didn't end after 20 seconds she got up and took her chair and left the room. Ugh, how are we ever going to teach this girl about good food if she can't even sit through a 1 minute prayer for the food.

Here the Fergy baby cousins during dinner time; they just got a jump start on the Thanksgiving nap fest.

After the meal was through, we cleaned up and then began the blessed tradition of looking through the Black Friday ads and planing who is going where and when, one of my very favorite parts! At the end of evening we traded our ornaments family ornaments (each yr we pick a theme & then each family makes or buys an ornament to give to each family) this year our theme was snowflakes (my snowflakes were starched and glittered ready made doilies). When we finished trading ornaments and eating desert it was 7pm and our wee ones were exhausted from a great, great Thanksgiving Day, so we headed home for a relaxing evening of our own.

Thankful Turkey

Growing up Cory's family always had the tradition of the Thankful Turkey. This meant that they would take an empty oatmeal container and then decorate it like a turkey with each of their hands as the feathers. Then during the month of November each person would put in the jar a scrap of paper with what they were grateful for. This year was our first attempt at our own Thankful Turkey. Below are listed the items that were written in the jar. We clearly forgot to put something in everyday and as for Phoebs' gratitude, we often would just write the first we could get Phoebe to say after we asked her what she was thankful for so her comments are a bit random.

We Are Grateful For:
Family, Blankies, Jobs, Sparkles, Babies, Our New Van, Colors, Katie & Our Cute Smart Helpful Daddy.

I Know, We Were Shocked Too!

As Phoebe is just barely 2 yrs old and was formerly an only child, it has taken some time for her to come around to having twin siblings invading her space and taking up her time with mom & dad. We had pretty much given up on the pictures of her holding and kissing them and decided on just being grateful she was no longer taking swings at them when our backs were turned. It thus completely shocked us last night when she requested that they sit in her lap. Here she is being the cute older sister we knew she could be.

Just Ducky

In the last month many of you have asked us how we are doing now that the twins have arrived and to you I reply, all of us here are just DUCKY!

Welcome Afton Marie

Last Sunday we were excited to welcome Fergy cousin #4 of 5, Afton Marie Ferguson. She was born Sunday morning (Nov.15th) weighing in at 7lbs 0oz and measuring 21 3/4in long. Here are a few pictures of our newest niece.

Goodbye Tito... Hello Dwight

News so exciting our excitement is apparent on everyone faces... well perhaps Josh could stand to be be a bit more excited.

On Tuesday night the Ferguson family took another large step forward to blend into the Utahan way of life. Curious to what we are talking about? I am saying we are now minivan people, much to Cory's dismay. For all who said 3 car seats don't fit into the back of a normal car, well you were right, so we traded in our beloved Tito.

We bought this handsome ride instead, we are calling him Dwight. He seats 6 and is smaller than a normal minivan so he still fits in our single garage. We have never owned a Mazda before, but I am assured that they are good rides. We even splurged and got a DVD since we got this pre-owned boy for a good price. It has been less than 48 hrs, since we bought him, but I think I am really going to enjoy having Dwight as a part of our Fergy family.

The Great Pumpkin & Halloween

The night before the twiners were born we took Phoebs to the corner pumpkin "patch". Really it was an empty parking lot filled with hay bales, pumpkins and a corn maze. This was Phoebes last special hurrah before the twins, but unfortunately she cared more about the messy hay on the ground than any pumpkin there, so we picked a small pumpkin out for her.

For Halloween this year we decided went with the theme of Little Bo Peep and her sheep. I was worried at first that no one would get that Phoebe was Bo Peep, but everyone got it with no problem. We even dressed the twins up as her sheep, but almost no one saw them as the only place they trick-or-treated was Grandma Fergy's home. For the majority of the festivities including the wards' Trunk or Treat Party & Trick-or-Treating the neighbors, we had to just say Little Bo Peep had lost her sheep.

This is the Fergy clan trick-or-treating Grandma/pa Fergy's house.

This is how the twins trick or treated Grandma's house, note the comparison of how Phoebe also trick or treated Grandma her first Halloween.

A is like unto B, as B is like unto...

Last week I finally took the time to take our traditional bear pictures. If you are unfamiliar with what these are, every month, until their one, we take pictures of our wee ones sitting next to this bear.

CAMI & JOSH
Age: Newborn

PHOEBE

Above: Age- 2yrs / Below: Newborn & 1 yr

Two of a Kind...
Everyone who has seen the twins points put that Cami looks just like her older sissy Phoebs, but what many do not see is how similar Josh looks like Phoebe when she was a chunky newborn. Below is a picture I snapped of Josh, to his right is a picture of his older sissy Phoebs when she was s newborn. No only do they look the same, but they even sleep alike.
